Ready to reveal my new artwork with me? 🏰🚀

My work ‚BHR 3000‘ combines the historic Hohenrechberg Castle, built around the year 1200, with a utopian vision of a future extension. Inspired by the aesthetics of old copperplate engravings, I recreated the scene using my signature materials: sand and gold.

The structure reflects a vision of minimalist alpine wood architecture – warm, clean, and rooted in nature, as seen in the Tyrolean region.

Now you might be wondering… what’s with the rocket? 🚀

The lord of the castle once had a curious idea: since castles represent ultimate immobility, why not break that with future technology? A transport rocket, ready to lift off if needed – a symbol of curiosity and the leap into the future.

Let’s hope – and work – so that Hohenrechberg Castle still stands strong and proud in the year 3000. 🏰✨

“A Tent in the Universe” 🪐⛺

Some time ago I read the quote from Steve Jobs: “We’re here to put a dent in the universe.” I liked this megalomaniac approach at first. But on closer inspection, it becomes clear that this claim can never be fulfilled. Many of us put ourselves under pressure to leave something “significant” for posterity or even to deform the physical universe.

Yet we forget how small and insignificant we are in the universe. Scientists estimate that there are about 100 billion galaxies in our observable universe, and each galaxy contains on average hundreds of billions of stars. So I can reassure you all, no one will ever put a dent in the universe. ✨

So my counter-proposal is: Put your tent in the universe. Pitch your tent for the brief moments you are here, marvel at the wonders of nature and enjoy the time with your family. ⌛

In astronomical time terms, no one will remember us anyway, so we might as well just have a good time. 💃
